This anthem pairs a new melody reminiscent of a folk tune with a familiar Advent text, while the buoyant instrumental parts emphasize the joyful anticipation of the Advent season. The traditional Swedish tune BEREDEN VÄG FÖR HERRAN is creatively incorporated as a descant in the final stanza.
